Effective 8 October 2026 ยท Android app, package com.dallin.ragdollriot
The short version
- There is no account to create, and no sign-in.
- The app has no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
- The developer runs no servers and does not collect, store or sell any information about you.
- Your name, settings and progress stay on your phone.
- Playing with other people needs the internet, and a few outside services see your IP address while you do. They are listed below.
What stays on your phone
The app saves these things in its own storage on your device. They are never sent to the developer.
- The player name you choose.
- Your friend code, which the app makes up at random the first time it runs.
- The names and codes of friends you add.
- Your settings, control layout, level, progress and local scores.
What is shared when you play with other people
Multiplayer games connect phones and computers directly to each other. Nothing is shared until you open the Play page, host a game or join one.
- Other players in your room receive your player name, your level, your friend code and your button presses during the game. Because the connection is direct, their devices can also see your IP address.
- The connection service (the public PeerJS server, peerjs.com) introduces the devices to each other. It sees your IP address and the room code or friend code being used.
- Network helpers. To get through home routers the app may use Google's public STUN server and the PeerJS relay servers. They see your IP address, and a relay may carry the game's traffic when a direct connection is not possible.
Finding games on the same Wi-Fi
To list games on your own network, the app asks a public "what is my IP address" service for your network's public address. It uses one of api.ipify.org, ipv4.icanhazip.com or v4.ident.me. The app turns the answer into a short scrambled code on your phone and uses that code as the name of a meeting point on the connection service. Those services see your IP address, as any website you visit does.
What the app does not do
- It does not ask for your real name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos or location.
- It does not use the camera or microphone.
- The only Android permission it uses is internet access.
- It does not show ads or include advertising or analytics software.
Children
Ragdoll Riot contains cartoon violence and is not directed at children under 13. The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Deleting your data
Everything the app saves is on your device. Clearing the app's storage in Android settings, or uninstalling the app, removes all of it. The developer holds no copy, so there is nothing further to delete.
The outside services
The services named above are run by other organisations and handle the information they receive under their own privacy policies. The developer has no access to their records.
Changes to this policy
If the app starts handling information differently, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change.
