Make it yours

Change the names, boy or girl, and looks so your children see themselves in every game. Changes save straight away, and only on this device. Nothing you type here is ever sent anywhere.

Set it up at home

No app store, no accounts and no GitHub needed. Your web browser can save these games onto the computer or tablet your children use. They get their own icon, open in their own window without the address bar, and keep working when the internet is off. It's still the same free web page underneath, just easier to find, and you can remove it like any other app.

  1. Open garystow.co.uk/kids-games on that computer or tablet.
  2. Scroll up to Make it yours. Type your children's names and pick their skin tone, hair and eyes, then do the same for the grown-ups.
  3. Press the yellow Add to this computer button below. If you can't see it (iPads and Safari never show it), follow the steps for your device underneath.
  4. Open Kids Games from your Start menu, desktop or home screen, just like any other app.
  5. That's it. After the first time it works without the internet, and you can come back to Make it yours whenever you like.
Windows (Edge)Click the three dots at the top right, then Apps, then Install this site as an app.
Windows or Mac (Chrome)Click the little install icon at the right of the address bar, or the three dots, then Cast, save and share, then Install page as app.
iPad or iPhone (Safari)There's no button on Apple devices. Tap the share button (a square with an arrow), then Add to Home Screen.
Mac (Safari)Click File in the menu bar, then Add to Dock.
Android tablet (Chrome)Tap the three dots, then Add to home screen or Install app.

For grown-ups

I built these for my two daughters, who are three and eight. They loved hunting for me in my AI village, but finding games they could enjoy at the same time was surprisingly hard when one is learning her colours and the other is racing through her times tables. So I built some with Claude, and slipped a bit of learning into each one.

There are no adverts, no accounts and nothing to buy. Nobody loses, and each game has a natural place to stop, which helps at bedtime. They work with a keyboard, a mouse, a tablet or two gamepads.
